An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in . Second ranked Guangzhou L. faced 3rd ranked Guangzhou FM. Guests from (8-2) defeated host Guangzhou FM (6-4) 86-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Guangzhou FM. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Guangzhou FM won fourth quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guangzhou FM was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Hamady N'Diaye (213-87, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks. Forward DaWei Chen (203-85) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 20 rebounds and guard KaiFu Yao (196-83) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Guangzhou FM. Five Guangzhou L. and four Guangzhou FM players scored in double figures. Guangzhou L. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Guangzhou FM at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Guangzhou L. will play against league's second-placed Changan Group in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guangzhou FM will play against Henan Jiyuan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
