The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Hong Kong's (5-8) road loss to fifth ranked Hebei (9-5) 98-105 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 30-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Hebei made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game, while Hong Kong only scored twelve points from the stripe. American forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M, agency: N.E.T.) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 22 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and guard ZhiTong Yin (195-86) chipped in 30 points during the contest. American center DeVon Hardin (211-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and guard Zhou Feng (180-81) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hebei moved-up to second place, which they share with Changan Group and Guangzhou FM. Loser Hong Kong dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Hebei will meet at home league's leader Guangzhou L. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hong Kong will play against Heilongjiang (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
