We should mention about the upset which took place in , where higher ranked Changan Group (9-7) lost to ninth ranked Nanjin Army (6-10) in a road game 68-74 on Saturday. Changan Group trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 24-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-74 at the end of the game. Nanjin Army dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Changan Group's 30. Nanjin Army forced 21 Changan Group turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Shengyue Sun (198-89) who helped to win the game recording 25 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and center ShouWei Wang (208-86) who added 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Joseph Taylor (203-85, college: Wyoming) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and forward Jian Sun (190-88) scored 17 points. Four Changan Group players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nanjin Army moved-up to eighth place. Loser Changan Group keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Nanjin Army will meet at home Sichuan (#9) in the next round. Changan Group will play against Hebei (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
