The most exciting game of round 17 in the PBA took place in Manila. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed Ginebra Kings (4-4) to sixth ranked Talk N Text (4-3) 113-111 in the game for the third place. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ginebra Kings won third quarter 31-29. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Talk N Text made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Paul Harris (193-86, college: Syracuse) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners and swingman Larry Fonacier (186-82) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Talk N Text players scored in double figures. American guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and guard Mark Caguioa (188-79, college: Glendale CC (AZ)) scored 32 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Talk N Text have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Ginebra Kings at the other side keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Talk N Text are looking forward to face league's second-placed B-Meg Llam. in Pasig in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ginebra Kings will have a break next round.
