Very predictable result when third ranked Jiangsu (11-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked Henan Jiyuan (2-15) 109-98 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Jiangsu. Henan Jiyuan was better in fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jiangsu dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Henan Jiyuan's 50 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Jiangsu had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Guard Zhuang Ma (194-88) chipped in 25 points. Jiangsu's coach ZhiLong Zheng used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and power forward XiaoHu Li (203-92) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jiangsu have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Guangzhou L. Henan Jiyuan lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost.
