Regular Season Round 4: Huracanes - Gansos 100-72

Not a big story in a game in Tampico where bottom-ranked Gansos (0-4) were rolled over by twelfth ranked Huracanes (2-2) 100-72 on Thursday. The game without a history. Huracanes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Gansos' 40. Huracanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Gansos' players. Gansos were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Anthony Johnson (197-79, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Interperformances) who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Huracanes players scored in double figures. At the losing side CamRon Clay (203-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Devin Chambers (188-86, college: S.Maine) scored 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Huracanes moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Gansos still closes the standings with four games lost. Huracanes will face Guerreros (#11) in the next round. Gansos will play against Correcaminos (#7) in Ciudad Victoria and look forward to get finally their first victory.
