Regular Season Round 1: Centrum - Baerum Basket 69-59

An interesting game for Centrum (2-0) which hosted in Oslo 3rd placed Baerum Basket (1-2). Leader Centrum managed to get a 10-point victory 69-59. It looked good early as Baerum Basket took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Centrum had a 23-12 second period charge getting the lead and Baerum Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-69. Guard Christian Hinsch (186-88, agency: Court Side) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and the former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) chipped in 18 points. At the losing side American forward Keith Thompson (197-90, college: Utah Valley) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Lars Harto (199-93) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Baerum Basket's coach Mathias Eckhoff rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Centrum maintains first place with 2-0 record. Baerum Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Centrum's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Oslo to the arena Ammerud Bskt.
