Osos (#14) forced the game against Correcaminos (#4) into an overtime, but lost by seven points 102-109 on Saturday night. The game took place in . But the guests from Ciudad Victoria were better at the end. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime then Osos managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Correcaminos who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 20-13. They made 34-of-37 free shots (91.9 percent) during the game. Osos were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) helped adding 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Keith Gayden (202-83, college: Duquesne) responded with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Marlyn Bryant (193-82, college: S.Florida) scored 25 points. Five Osos players scored in double figures. Correcaminos have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Osos lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fourteenth position with six games lost. Correcaminos will face league's leader Toros in Nuevo Laredo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osos will play on the road against Barreteros (#12) in Zacatecas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
