Regular Season Round 1: EA7 Armani - JuveCaserta 97-71
Date: September 30, 2012
Armani Milano used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Caserta 97-71. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Malik Hairston (198-87, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Greek forward Antonis Fotsis (209-81) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Armani Milano's coach Sergio Scariolo felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St.) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Eric Chatfield (191-79, college: N.Mexico) added 16 points in the effort for Juvecaserta. Armani Milano's next round opponent will be SAIE3 BO in Bologna which should be theoretically another easy game. Juvecaserta will play at home against Vanoli Cremona.
