Regular Season Round 7: GECR Indalo - Obras 95-85

There was a surprise result when sixth ranked GECR Indalo (3-4) defeated much higher ranked Obras (4-3) in Comodoro R. 95-85 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by GECR Indalo. Obras was better in third quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GECR Indalo shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American power forward Kahiem Seawright (203-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Edge Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Italian point guard Diego Ciorciari (184-80, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. GECR Indalo's coach Miguel Volcan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) answered with 22 points and international power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Obras. Five GECR Indalo and four Obras players scored in double figures. GECR Indalo maintains sixth place in South with 3-4 record. Loser Obras dropped to the third position with three games lost. GECR Indalo will face again higher ranked Obras (#3) in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
