LigaA round 7 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Argentino (5-2) against eighth ranked Wuber-Est.Bahia (2-4) 82-68 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by Wuber-Est.Bahia. Argentino managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wuber-Est.Bahia forced 22 Argentino turnovers. Strangely Argentino outrebounded Wuber-Est.Bahia 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Argentino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Marcus Fizer (203-78, college: Iowa St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Juan Manuel Rivero (191-85) contributed with 18 points for the winners. The former international point guard Nicolas De los Santos (180-88) answered with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Kavon Lytch (199-87, college: Oklahoma City) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Argentino. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wuber-Est.Bahia moved-up to seventh place in South. Newly promoted Argentino dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Penarol who have the same record. Argentino will play next round against league's leader Penarol trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Wuber-Est.Bahia will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked 9 de Julio in Rio Tercero.
