Regular Season Round 7: GECR Indalo - Boca Jrs 82-78

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Boca Juniors (3-3) lost to sixth ranked GECR Indalo (3-4) in Comodoro R. 78-82 on Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Boca Juniors won fourth quarter 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GECR Indalo dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Boca Juniors' 34. Quite impressive performance for American power forward Kahiem Seawright (203-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Edge Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Diego Romero (203-82, college: Florida St.) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American forward John DeGroat (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international point guard Maximiliano Stanic (178-78, agency: Players Group) added 12 points in the effort for Boca Juniors. Boca Juniors' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. GECR Indalo maintains sixth place in South with 3-4 record. Loser Boca Juniors keeps the fourth position with three games lost. GECR Indalo will face higher ranked Obras (#3) in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boca Juniors' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Buenos Aires to the arena Lanus.
