Regular Season Round 1: BC Nokia - Porvoon Tarmo 80-84

We should not miss anothera road victory of leader Porvoon Tarmo (1-0) over leader BC Nokia (0-1) 84-80. It was a key game for the second position in Division. It looked good early as BC Nokia took an 19-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Porvoon Tarmo took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. American forward Jerrah Young (201-85, college: Toledo) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jarno Nissinen (195-77) chipped in 19 points. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Porvoon Tarmo players scored in double figures. American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstr.Atlantic) produced a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and swingman Henri Jokinen (195-92) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Porvoon Tarmo left bottom position moving up to second place in Division. BC Nokia at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Porvoon Tarmo's next round opponent will be Torpan Pojat (#8) in Helsinki which should be theoretically an easy game. BC Nokia will play on the road against Aanekosken Huima in Aanekoski and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
