A very interesting game took place in Buenos Aires. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Obras (4-3) to fifth ranked Lanus (3-3) 76-74 on Friday evening. Obras was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 39-36 second half run of Lanus. 26 personal fouls committed by Obras helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward William McFarlan (201-76, college: St.Thomas Aquinas, agency: Dream Team Management) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Nicolas Laprovittola (184-90) chipped in 9 points and 6 assists. International power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and Uruguayan guard Martin Osimani (194-81, college: Duquesne) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lanus moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Boca Jrs. Obras at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost.
