We should mention about the upset which took place in Rouen, where bottom-ranked Denain Voltaire (0-2) was outleveled in a road game by seventeenth ranked SPO Rouen (1-1) 104-81 on Friday. The game without a history. SPO Rouen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. SPO Rouen looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Wendell McKines (198-88, college: N.Mexico St.) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard O'Darien Bassett (191-86, college: Troy) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists. Spanish center Rafael Lopez (204-86) produced 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Denain Voltaire's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. SPO Rouen left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with 7 other teams. Loser Denain Voltaire still closes the standings with two games lost.
