Regular Season Round 3: Uppsala KFUM - Solna Branten 79-77

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked KFUM Uppsala (1-1) edged at home higher ranked Solna Branten (1-2) 79-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 21-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. KFUM Uppsala forced 19 Solna Branten turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Lukas Friberg (183-95) who scored 12 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Alexander Gorski (194-94) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Niklas Larsson (198-94) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Patrik Horman (186-94) added 16 points respectively. Five KFUM Uppsala and four Solna Branten players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KFUM Uppsala left bottom position moving up to sixth place in North, which they share with Blackeberg. Loser Solna Branten dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. KFUM Uppsala will face Fryshuset (#11) in Stockholm in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Solna Branten will play at home against Akropol in Spanga.
