Everything went according to plan when leader Okinawa GK (2-0) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Kyoto Hannar. (0-2) 82-73 on Saturday. Okinawa GK forced 20 Kyoto Hannar. turnovers. Strangely Kyoto Hannar. outrebounded Okinawa GK 42-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American swingman Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 4 assists. Guard Narito Namizato (175-89) contributed with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego, agency: Top Notch Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
