Regular Season Round 2: Sutor MGR - Banco di Sard. 79-85

Date: October 6, 2012
Very significant was Banco di Sard.'s (#4) 85-79 road victory against Sutor Montegranaro. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) notched 19 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St., agency: Pro One Sports) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Banco di Sard.'s coach Romeo Sacchetti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by international Valerio Mazzola (203-88) did not help to save the game for Sutor Montegranaro. The former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) added 22 points for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Banco di Sard. will play against Pall. Cantu at home in the next round. Sutor Montegranaro will play against SAIE3 BO in Bologna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
