No shocking result in a game when leader Iwate Big Bulls (2-0) beat on the road bottom-ranked Niigata Albirex (0-2) 88-82 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Iwate Big Bulls shot 32 for 49 from the free-throw line, while Niigata Albirex only scored fifteen points from the stripe. Niigata Albirex was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Five Iwate Big Bulls and four Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls maintains first place with 2-0 record, which they share with Toyama Grouses and Okinawa GK.
