Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tokyo: Ebara Vickies (#5) and Niigata (#8). Ebara Vickies (3-1) crushed visiting Niigata (1-3) by 16 points 73-57. The game was mostly controlled by Ebara Vickies. Niigata was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ebara Vickies dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata's 30. Ebara Vickies forced 19 Niigata turnovers. Ebara Vickies will play against Toyota A. (#9) in Nagoya in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Niigata will play on the road against Mitsubishi K. in Nagoya to get more than just one victory in their record.
