Very important is a home loss of second ranked Toros (8-2) against seventh ranked Soles (7-4) on Sunday night. Host Toros were defeated by Soles in a tough game in Nuevo Laredo 88-96. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toros. Toros were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Toros 44-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. American center Kentrell Gransberry (206-85, college: S.Florida) accounted for 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. American-Nigerian forward Ike Ofoegbu (205-85, college: SMU, agency: Paris Global Sports) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Toros in the defeat. Five Soles and four Toros players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Soles have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Panteras and Abejas. Toros at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. Soles will play against Osos (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toros will play against Guerreros (#13) and hope to get back on the winning track.
