Regular Season Round 5: BC Asker - Ullern 48-63

Bottom-ranked BC Asker (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to second ranked Ullern (3-1) 63-48 on Sunday evening. Ullern dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to BC Asker's 26. Ullern forced 19 BC Asker turnovers and outrebounded them 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Julie McCarthy (187-93) who scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Cecilia Gnaly (182-92) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. point guard Kristine Skorpen (170-94) produced 7 points and guard Elin Gulbrandsen (173-94) added 12 points and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ullern maintains second place with 3-1 record having five points less than leader Gimle. BC Asker lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Ullern's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Oslo .
