Regular Season Round 2: Acea Virtus RM - Cantu 70-84

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Lottomatica Roma (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Pall. Cantu (2-0) 84-70. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Pall. Cantu shot 64.0 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Pall. Cantu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. American-Israeli center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Belgian Beye Tabu-Eboma (184-85) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Pall. Cantu players scored in double figures. International forward Luigi Datome (203-87) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Phil Goss (186-83, college: Drexel) scored 14 points. Pall. Cantu is looking forward to face Banco di Sard. in Sassari in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lottomatica Roma will play at home against Trenkwalder RE in Reggio Emilia and is hoping to win this game.
