Regular Season Round 3: Energa Torun - Widzew 93-60

The game with biggest result difference took place in Torun. Local Energa Torun (2-1) outscored bottom-ranked Widzew (0-3) 93-60. The game without a history. Energa Torun led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Widzew's 32. They outrebounded Widzew 43-27 including 35 on the defensive glass. Energa Torun players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American guard Adrianne Ross (173-84, college: TCU, agency: Merit Sports) who led her team to a victory with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Weronika Idczak (177-89) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Czech center Leona Jankowska (190-77) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Malgorzata Chomicka (168-83) added 11 points in the effort for Widzew. Widzew's coach Elzbieta Trzesniewska gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Energa Torun moved-up to fifth place. Widzew at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Lider Pruszkow. Energa Torun will play against AZS Rzeszow (#9) at home in the next round. Widzew will play against Lider Pruszkow and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
