Regular Season Round 1: Parnu - Valga 84-81 OT

Valga (#9) forced the game against KK Parnu (#3) into an overtime, but lost by three points 81-84. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 22-19 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-7. KK Parnu forced 21 Valga turnovers. Strangely Valga outrebounded KK Parnu 48-36 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. International center Rain Raadik (208-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and Lithuanian guard Augustas Peciukevicius (192-91) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists. Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (204-82, college: Binghamton) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and Latvian guard Edgars Cunda (195-84, agency: Court Side) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Valga in the defeat. KK Parnu's next round opponent will be BC Rakvere on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Valga will play against TTU in Tallinn.
