Round 3 in Nazionale A means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Latina where host Latina Basket (1-2) edged league's leader Agrigento (2-1) 69-66 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Agrigento. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Latina Basket forced 20 Agrigento turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Filippo Gagliardo (206-78) who scored 17 points and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Naturalized Serbian forward Marko Micevic (198-89) chipped in 12 points. Agrigento's coach Franco Ciani rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Latina Basket left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Agrigento dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with 5 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bari. Agrigento will play next round against Perugia trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
