Regular Season Round 9: Quimsa - Libertad S. 92-69

Undefeated Libertad Sunchales (8-1) recorded its first loss in Santiado Estero on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifth ranked Quimsa (4-4) 92-69. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Libertad Sunchales. The game was mostly controlled by Quimsa. Libertad Sunchales managed to win second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quimsa dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Libertad Sunchales' 36. The best player for the winners was naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (204-81, agency: Players Group) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Ramzee Stanton (197-80, college: W.Chester, agency: Dream Team Management) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Quimsa's coach Fabio Demti felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jonatan Treise (186-85) who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Gabriel Mikulas (200-80, college: E.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Quimsa maintains fifth place in North with 4-4 record. Libertad Sunchales at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Quimsa are again looking forward to face league's leader Libertad Sunchales on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Libertad Sunchales will have a break next round.
