Express L. top team - Keflavik (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked KR (1-2) in Reykjavik 76-54. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Keflavik forced 19 KR turnovers. It was a quality performance for forward Sara Run Hinriksdottir (165-96) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Palina Gunnlaugsdottir (168-87) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. The former international power forward Sigrun Amundadottir (181-88, agency: Promotex) came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Helga Einarsdottir (186-88) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for KR in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Keflavik have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with Snaefell. Loser KR dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Haukar. Keflavik will meet Njardvik (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
