Regular Season Round 3: Sundsvall - Eagles 94-71

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked White Eagles (2-1) were crushed on the road by ninth ranked Sundsvall Dragons (2-1) 94-71 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-71. Sundsvall Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by White Eagles' players. It was a great evening for American forward Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) helped adding 14 points and 14 rebounds. Four Sundsvall Dragons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist, agency: Three Eye Sports) with 24 points and the former international guard Serkan Inan (198-86) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sundsvall Dragons moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated White Eagles. Sundsvall Dragons will face Norrkoping Dolphins (#10) in Norrkoping in the next round and are hoping to win another game. White Eagles will play at home against the league's leader Boras Basket (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
