Regular Season Round 2: Taipans - Hawks 58-68

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Cairns Taipans (1-1) at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Wollongong Hawks (2-0) 68-58. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 1-0 record before this meeting. The game was mostly controlled by Wollongong Hawks. Cairns Taipans was better in second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
