1st Division top team - Porvoon Tarmo (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Aanekosken Huima (1-2) 93-58. The game without a history. Porvoon Tarmo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Porvoon Tarmo dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Aanekosken Huima's 42. Porvoon Tarmo forced 24 Aanekosken Huima turnovers. Porvoon Tarmo looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Aanekosken Huima's players. It was a good game for American forward Jerrah Young (201-85, college: Toledo) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import swingman Devon McBride (194-87, college: Kutztown) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Porvoon Tarmo players scored in double figures. American guard Andre Stephens (180-87, college: S.Mississippi) answered with 10 points and 9 rebounds and forward Sami Mantymaa (192-88) added 13 points in the effort for Aanekosken Huima. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Porvoon Tarmo maintains first place in Division with 3-0 record. Loser Aanekosken Huima dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Porvoon Tarmo will face Ura Basket (#9) in Kaarina in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
