The game in Esch was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked T71 (2-1) played at the court of bottom-ranked Basket Esch (0-3). T71 defeated Basket Esch 79-63. The game was mostly controlled by T71. Basket Esch was better in third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. T71 dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Basket Esch's 36. The best player for the winners was international point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) who scored 33 points (!!!). Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. T71 moved-up to third place, which they share with Contern and Amicale. Basket Esch at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. T71's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Sparta in Bertrange and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basket Esch will play on the road against Soleuvre (#7) in Belvaux and hopes to get finally their first victory.
