Regular Season Round 4: Fryshuset - Uppsala KFUM 93-78

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Fryshuset (1-3) defeated higher ranked KFUM Uppsala (1-2) in Stockholm 93-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fryshuset. KFUM Uppsala was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fryshuset forced 21 KFUM Uppsala turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. KFUM Uppsala was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for naturalized Ugandan guard Kassim Nagwere (187-90) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 8 rebounds. point guard Mehmet Dilek (186-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Norwegian guard Joakim Hellerstrom (190-87) replied with 16 points and guard Alex Mikaelsson (182-90) added 14 points in the effort for KFUM Uppsala. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fryshuset left bottom position moving up to ninth place in North, which they share with Alvik Basket and BG Lulea. Loser KFUM Uppsala dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Fryshuset will face Alvik Basket (#11) in the next round.
