No shocking result in a game in Nagoya where top-ranked Toyota Alvark (4-0) smashed bottom-ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (0-4) 79-56 on Saturday. Mitsubishi Dolphins were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was international guard Keijuro Matsui (188-85, college: Columbia) who scored 20 points. American forward Jeff Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Bahamas power forward Magnum Rolle (211-86, college: Louisiana Tech) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Kei Igarashi (180-80) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Toshiba BT and Panasonic T. Loser Mitsubishi Dolphins still closes the standings with four games lost. Toyota Alvark will face league's leader Panasonic Trians in Osaka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
