Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked San Salvatore and bottom-ranked Valmadrera had identical 0-1 record. This time San Salvatore used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from 63-59 on Saturday night. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 18-6. But Valmadrera won second period 18-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Valmadrera used huge pressure winning it 21-18 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 6-10. San Salvatore dominated on the defensive end, holding Valmadrera to just 6 points in first quarter. Bulgarian forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 9 rebounds. Center Stefania D'Arenzo (185-78) contributed with 4 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Valmadrera's coach Tiziano Gualtieri tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
