Regular Season Round 7: Centrum - Baerum Basket 82-74

BLNO top team - Centrum (5-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Baerum Basket (2-4) in Oslo 82-74. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Baerum Basket won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Centrum outrebounded Baerum Basket 44-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Christian Hinsch (186-88, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) helped adding 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side American forward Keith Thompson (197-90, college: Utah Valley) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Ryan Ferranti (195-86, college: Rollins) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Centrum maintains first place with 5-1 record. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Centrum are looking forward to face Froya Basket (#4) in Laksevag in the next round. Baerum Basket will play at home against Asker Aliens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
