Regular Season Round 3: Svit - Nitra 73-89

There was no surprise when Svit (0-3) was defeated at home by Nitra (2-0) 89-73 on Saturday. Nitra looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for center Juraj Hasan (202-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Bahamas guard J.R. Cadot (195-87, college: TCU) helped adding 19 points and 10 rebounds. Four Nitra players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Kenneth Henderson (201-82, college: Texas Arlington) with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import center Tyronne McNeal (211-87, college: Miami Dade CC) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Svit's coach Ivan Fulgosi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Nitra moved-up to second place. Loser Svit still closes the standings with three games lost. Nitra will meet at home SKP Banska Bystrica (#5) in the next round. Svit will play against Prievidza (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
