Leader Halcones UV Xalapa delivered the twelfth win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Correcaminos (6-7) 125-74. The game without a history. Halcones UV Xalapa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 40 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Correcaminos 51-24 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Halcones UV Xalapa looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Correcaminos' players. American guard LeRoy Hickerson (196-82, college: Cumberlands) fired 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Venezuelan point guard Gregory Vargas (180-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Five Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. Halcones UV Xalapa's coach Angel Gonzalez felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: Dream Team Management) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) added 23 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side.
