Regular Season Round 2: Hito/Johvi - Tarvas 51-81

Hito/Johvi (1-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by fourth ranked BC Rakvere (2-1) 81-51. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. BC Rakvere forced 19 Hito/Johvi turnovers. 29 personal fouls committed by Hito/Johvi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Renato Lindmets (200-84, college: Westfield St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Latvian swingman Juris Umbrasko (197-79) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. Guard Siim Laur (189-87) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Edvard Trumm (192-83) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. BC Rakvere will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hito/Johvi will play on the road against Valga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
