Regular Season Round 4: Solna Branten - Akropol 72-71

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Akropol (2-2) was edged on the road by ninth ranked Solna Branten (2-2) 72-71 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Akropol won fourth quarter 20-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for Niklas Larsson (198-94) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Jonathan Gunnarsson (195-95) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Guard Samuel Desport (183-83) replied with 17 points and forward Richard Hartmann (201-89) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Akropol. Four Akropol players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Solna Branten moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with defeated Akropol. Solna Branten will face higher ranked KFUM Blackebergs (#4) in Vallingby in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
