Regular Season Round 4: Charleville - Landes 42-35

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Charleville-Mezieres (2-2) beat at home one of their biggest challengers Basket Landes (2-2) 42-35 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 42-35. Charleville-Mezieres dominated on the defensive end, holding Basket Landes to just 1 points in third quarter. Charleville-Mezieres forced 19 Basket Landes turnovers. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Yacine Sene (183-82) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) contributed with 4 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Anais Le Gluher (175-82) replied with 14 points and Spanish forward Tamara Abalde (190-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 9 points in the effort for Basket Landes. Charleville-Mezieres moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Basket Landes. Charleville-Mezieres will face Mondeville (#8) on the road in the next round.
