Regular Season Round 2: Muggia - Broni 54-52

A2 round 2 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Broni (1-1) against eleventh ranked Muggia (1-1) 54-52 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Broni won third quarter 16-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Muggia forced 19 Broni turnovers. Guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (182-88) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Claudia Pellegrino (183-89) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and guard Silvia Caru (176-83) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Broni. Broni's coach Paolo Fassina rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Muggia left bottom position moving up to fourth place in North, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Broni. Broni will play next round against strong Umana Reyer trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Muggia will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Valmadrera on the road.
