SM-sarja top team - Catz Lappeenranta (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Aanekosken (1-2) 92-56. The game without a history. Catz Lappeenranta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Catz Lappeenranta forced 21 Aanekosken turnovers. It was a great evening for Russian power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Alexandria Anderson (185-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Regeneracom Sports) helped adding 6 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jasmin Holliday (182-90, college: Oregon) with 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the other American import center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds. Aanekosken's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Catz Lappeenranta have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 3-0 record, which they share with PeKa. Aanekosken at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with FoA. Catz Lappeenranta is looking forward to face bottom-ranked TuRi (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aanekosken will play against Torpan Pojat (#4) in Helsinki and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
