Leader Peli-Karhut (3-0) crushed at home 6th ranked Forssan Alku (1-2) by 48 points 120-72, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Peli-Karhut led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Forssan Alku's 48. Peli-Karhut forced 26 Forssan Alku turnovers and outrebounded Forssan Alku 48-34 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was a quality performance for American swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Miriam McKenzie (177-90, college: Loyola, MD) accounted for 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Center Juta Jahilo (186-84) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Epipihany Woodson (172-89, college: Charlotte) added 15 points respectively for Forssan Alku in the defeat. Five Peli-Karhut and four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. Forssan Alku's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Peli-Karhut have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Catz. Forssan Alku at the other side dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with Huima. Peli-Karhut will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Forssan Alku will play against HoNsU (#5) in Jyvaskyla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
