Regular Season Round 4: Arras - Mondeville 59-53

Arras' fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Mondeville (2-2) 59-53. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-19. But Mondeville won second period 12-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Arras dominated on the defensive end, holding Mondeville to just 5 points in third quarter. They also forced 20 Mondeville turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Johanne Gomis (179-85) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists and Serbian forward Ines Ajanovic (195-80, agency: LBM Management) who added 10 points during the contest. They share it with 6 other teams. Arras will play against higher ranked Toulouse (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mondeville will play against Charleville-Mezieres and hopes to get back on the winning track.
