Leader Fujitsu RW blasted bottom-ranked Hitachi Cougars (0-6) in Hitachinaka 90-58 on Sunday evening keeping the perfect record after 7 rounds. Hitachi Cougars is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. Fujitsu RW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. International power forward Ayumi Suzuki (179-85) accounted for 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. International forward Mami Yamada (176-88) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and center Yuri Ikeuchi (180-89) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Hitachi Cougars in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Fujitsu RW. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Chanson V-M and JX Sunflowers. Hitachi Cougars lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Aishin AW and Yamanashi QB. Fujitsu RW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hitachi Cougars will play against Toyota A. (#6) in Nagoya and hope to get finally their first victory.
