The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Irpino as it allowed them to take a leadership position in South. Irpino smashed bottom-ranked Consum.it Siena at home 76-39. But then Irpino had a 24-7 second period charge getting the lead and Consum.it Siena was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 39-76.
