Regular Season Round 10: Libertad S. - Quimsa 86-77

LigaA top team - Libertad Sunchales (9-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Quimsa (5-5) 86-77. It looked good early as Quimsa took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Libertad Sunchales had a 25-10 second period charge getting the lead and Quimsa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-86. 24 personal fouls committed by Quimsa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Gabriel Mikulas (200-80, college: E.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marcos Saglietti (190-86) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures. Naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (204-81, agency: Players Group) produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and American center James Williams (204-79, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Dream Team Management) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Quimsa's coach Fabio Demti tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Libertad Sunchales maintains first position in North with 9-1 record. Quimsa at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Libertad Sunchales' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Olimpico de La Banda on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quimsa will play against Atenas in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
