Regular Season Round 4: Eos - Boras II 89-78

Basketettan round 4 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Boras II (3-1) against top-ranked IK Eos (4-0) 89-78 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boras II. It was a key game for the top position in South. The game was mostly controlled by IK Eos. Boras II managed to win third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. IK Eos forced 28 Boras II turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Boras II helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Gustav Nystrom (189-89, college: Hope) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals. Guard Adnan Karovic (187-88) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Forward Mohamed Nefatti (196-84) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Hajzer Ismaili (201-94) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Boras II. Four IK Eos and five Boras II players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. IK Eos have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of South leader. Boras II at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Brahe Basket. They were replaced at the leadership position by LF Future. Boras II will play next round against Hogsbo trying to make it back to the top of the standings. IK Eos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
