Regular Season Round 2: FCM Ferentino - Novipiu Casale 85-90

FCM Ferentino was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Casale 90-85 on Sunday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But FCM Ferentino won third quarter 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) scored 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Casper Ware (177-90, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 12 points during the contest. Four Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. American-British forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Novipiu Casale will face bottom-ranked Upea Capo OR in the next round which should be an easy win for them. FCM Ferentino will play on the road against AcegasAps TR in Trieste and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
